HIGH
SCHOOL
After the 4 years of consolidation provided by Collège comes the Sixth Form cycle, called cycle Terminal (15-18 years). The choices made by pupils will determine their paths as students.
The general track prepares high school students in two years for the general baccalaureate and the pursuit of higher education, mainly in university or in preparatory classes. It is preceded by the determination cycle over one year.
The organization of the general high school offers courses chosen by each high school student according to their tastes and ambitions.
The school offers three types of education:
- A broad base of common, humanist, and scientific culture, open to the challenges of the future.
- Specialty disciplines chosen by the student and increasing between first and final (three disciplines in first class then two in final among the three followed in first). These disciplines benefit from significant timetables making it possible to offer ambitious programs and to give students time for learning. Optional lessons will also allow the student to complete his or her course.
- A period of orientation assistance throughout high school to prepare for career choices and, ultimately, entry into higher education. The pupils will be accompanied according to the schedules provided for within the framework of the margins of autonomy of the establishments (groups with reduced numbers, differentiated pedagogy, Mooc, etc.).
The baccalaureate diploma (BAC)
The school registers candidates for the French baccalaureate exams. The exams are held at CIFS’s affiliate school in Belgrade. After the exams, candidates will receive their French national baccalaureate diploma which enables them to pursue further education in France if they so choose.
