Health

Daily management

The entire school team is trained in first aid.
On each part of the school, a first aid kit allows the staff to react to small everyday injuries. For medical emergencies, the school’s procedure is to turn first to the privileged contact communicated by parents at the start of the year.

Regularly during the year, the pupils make medical visits for medical check ups.
For any school trip, the teams leave with a first aid kit.
In high school, sex education courses following the French Ministry of Education program are provided to students.
Civil liability is compulsory and will be requested at the start of the school year. It is imperative that one of the parents can be contacted at all times for better care of children in the event of a health problem at school.
Sick children should not come to school (risk of contagion, discomfort, fever …). If the child has a fever, it is often a sign of a contagious disease. By not sending your child to school, it will limit its spread.

Pollution protocol

A Pollution protocol has been helping to determine the pollution thresholds (AQI and PM2.5) from which the teams adapt their activities (sports, according to students at risk …). It was developed by the Air Visual application and the measurements is made by the device at the United States Embassy in Sarajevo.
Classrooms are equipped with air purifiers to ensure the health of the students.

Security

The AEFE network to which the CIFS belongs puts security among its priorities. To this end, a company specializing in the prevention and management of intrusion risks in schools has been hired by the school.

In close collaboration with the security services of the French Embassy in Sarajevo, the CIFS updated the PPMS (Individual Security Plan). These documents give instructions to all personnel concerning all risks (fire, earthquake, intrusion, etc.). Exercises are held regularly every year.

Coronavirus

The CIFS is in close contact with the French Embassy in Sarajevo, the Ministry of Health of the Canton of Sarajevo, the medical services and the AEFE, regarding the evolution of the situation about the Covid-19 virus. A hygiene protocol has been implemented to covering all the measures taken within the establishment.
Although all lessons are face-to-face, distance education has been implemented and has been offered to students who cannot attend classes for medical reasons and to ensure the safety of all students, their families and CIFS staff, following recommendations from local authorities. Teams stand ready to host online classes as soon as the situation calls for it.
A health protocol covering all the measures taken within the establishment has been drawn up internally for the start of the 2021 school year and is available to you below:
